Push and Pull
The push and pull factors for the Chinese workers were pretty normal for any kind of immigrant. The Chinese wanted to come to Canada to provide for their families back in China and come back with quite a bit of money. Although were scammed and their ideals were broken. The push factors consist of these things, the poverty in China, also the lack of pay they get back in China which was less than what the Chinese were paid in Canada for working on the CPR.
